Installing the DragonLAIR controller is a simple procedure.

Install the motor cable by connecting the ring terminals to the motor and the board connector to the motor port on the DragonLAIR.
(Optional) If you want remote access to the DragonLAIR, connect an ethernet cable to the "Ethernet" jack on the DragonLAIR. The ethernet cable should be connected to your network with a router configured to provide IP addresses through DHCP.
Connect the hand controller to the DragonLAIR.
Connect the Open and Closed limit switches to the DragonLAIR. To connect the cable to the controller, push in the grey button all the way and insert the cable. Then release the button. Give it a slight tug to ensure it is seated correctly. If it comes out, it wasn't pushed in far enough. Polarity does not matter for the limit switches.
Position the limit switches in a place where they will activate when the roof is fully open and fully closed. The easiest way to do that is to power up the DragonLAIR and move the roof manually to the fully closed position, then attach the limit switch so that it is activated. Then manually move the roof using the hand controller to the fully open position and set the Open limit switch in place. When connecting the wires to the limit included switches, be sure to connect them to the top two terminals in the housing. These are the "Normally Open" positions.
Connect the power supply to the DragonLAIR. After a few seconds, you should hear a beep indicated the DragonLAIR is fully booted.

If the motor moves in the opposite direction as the buttons on the hand controller indicate, just switch the cables connecting the ring terminals to the Motor (DO NOT switch the ring terminals on the power supply).

When you are happy with manual operation of the roof with the hand controller, you can then enable the automation.

Safety Sensors (Optional)

If you have a telescope that can interfere with the roof moving, you will want to enable the safety sensors. To do so, open the enclosure and move the jumpers for each sensor you want to enable to the "Enable" position. When enabled, the roof will refuse to move unless the sensor indicates it is safe to do so.
Close the enclosure and connect the sensors to the ports you enabled.
Connect the sensor by connecting the Brown wire to the 12V port, the Black wire to the Signal port, and the Blue wire to the Ground port.
Place the reflector near the objective of your telescope so that when parked it will face your sensor.
Place the sensor so that it points at the reflector when the telescope is parked. You will see the indicator light change on the sensor when it is aligned.
