Ok, I'll ask the stupid question :-)

Am I correct in assuming that the right wall is identical to the left wall ?

Collin Yes in my design their just mirror images of each other. And I do have a few different designs to the front wall/Door. I was having some issues getting them to post correctly. I'll try to get them up here today.

Collin OH Awesome! We met Dan and Eric at NEAF, so glad we did. I went back and looked at the replay, couldn't believe they let me talk for over 2 hours. Hope I wasn't putting people to sleep. Thanks so much for stopping by. We really want to make this Mini Obsy something that gets taken over by the community. To improve, iterate and build these lil boxes all over the world.

Was talking with Rick last night and he agrees the Trash Bin enclosure idea with a Linear Actuator could be a super cheap and quick way to put an obsy in for a small pier and scope too. Our controllers are already actuating those linears for the fold down walls in the big buildings.

What scope/mount are you planning on putting in the MiniOb?

Hi Jeff, sorry for the late reply. Forgot to hit the "Follow" button.

It'll be some combination of an AM5 or EQ6-R with either an Explore scientific ED 102 or AR 127

Collin Those would work perfectly. That is the size mount we designed it for. As for the scopes. If you can get me a length from end of dew shield to back side of camera, I can place that size/shape in our 3D design app and check for clearances on the sides. The roof will be no problem as long as the tripod is low enough.

Also, the fab shop we use has added a new machine that allows for custom laser cut square and round tubing. That could allows us to design custom pier sizes with specific mounting plates for the various mounts.
